In an article, titled, “At the Tactical Edge”, Ross Osborne and Jeff Barrows portray the need to develop communication solutions in collaboration with the military and industry in order to ensure effective implementation in the field.
As part of the article, Lieutenant Colonel Greg Jaksec, industrious non-commissioned officers in Iraq was interviewed after conducting “a test to find a suitable interim solution to execute battle command on the move.” According to the article, following internal testing, Jaksec’s soldiers preferred the StealthRay antenna. Jaksec is quoted in the article as stating, “With its low profile and survivability, the Stealthray is the only feasible tactical solution on the market today that supports satellite COTM.”
