RaySat Incorporated is Internationally Launching a Solution for Dedicated Mobile Satellite TV at Satellite 2009
RaySat Incorporated is introducing an end-to-end eco system for dedicated mobile TV services that overcomes LoS Blockages
(Vienna, VA) Known as an international leader of the in-motion, low-profile, phased-array Ku band satellite antennas for the mobile TV market, RaySat Inc. is expanding into the mobile TV service solutions market. At the Satellite 2009 conference RaySat will be located in the RaySat Broadcasting Corporation booth, which will display the first deployment of the Dedicated Mobile Distribution Platform.
The new service platform is an end-to-end eco system that combines high forward error correction (FEC) rates with video-time buffering and interleaving technology in order to overcome the effects of Line of Sight blockages. As a turnkey solution, the Dedicated Mobile Distribution Platform allows TV service providers to economically develop a mobile satellite TV service option and penetrate the growing car entertainment market.
Based on its T-series of antennas, the light-weight and compact RaySat T-7 antenna was specifically developed by RaySat Inc. for the dedicated mobile service option. The RaySat T7 is configured specifically for the reception of dedicated mobile broadcast and is priced for mass consumer markets. The RaySat T7 employs high-speed satellite tracking which allows service providers to economically leverage the unused capacity on inclined orbit satellites.
