RaySat Incorporated is launching a new antenna specifically designed for deployment in high-latitude locations
Known as an international leader of in-motion, low-profile, phased-array Ku band satellite antennas for the mobile satellite TV market, RaySat Inc. is releasing a low-elevation version of its signature SpeedRay 1000 antenna. The new antenna, named the SpeedRay 1000 LE, has a low look-angle and is designed for installation on vehicles in the public, private and mass transportation sectors.
Following a large deployment of SpeedRay 1000 units on Buses, Trains and Ferries around the world, RaySat will now be able to offers its mobile satellite TV antenna system to northern regions.
Using flat phased-array panel technology, the SpeedRay 1000 LE has a modified internal design to offer improved antenna reception at low elevations. Maintaining the low-profile form factor of its product line, the SpeedRay 1000 LE has only a nominal increase of 3 cm in the antenna height – making the total antenna height 18 cm. The SpeedRay 1000 LE employs the same high-speed satellite tracking technology as the RaySat family of antennas and supports reception at speeds up to 350 km/h.

The SpeedRay 1000 LE has already received positive feedback from the market. The SpeedRay 1000 LE can be configured for use with any Ku band satellite to enable LIVE satellite TV from regional DTH/FTA.
